The Company

Segterra, Inc., was founded by a group of physicians, scientists, exercise physiologists, and nutritionists from MIT, Harvard, and Tufts University. We created InsideTracker™ to provide a web-based, personalized path to health, wellness and performance.

Our Team

  Gil Blander, PhD
  Initial founder, President, CSO

  Gil brings to Segterra more than 18 years of experience in systems biology, computational biology, aging, metabolism, and caloric restriction research. Gil previously worked at MIT (Guarente Lab), the Weizmann Institute (Israel), and several Systems Biology / Computational Biology companies (Genstruct, Compugen, and IBS).

  CTO

  Dexter has 30 years of experience in artificial intelligence, systems biology, and web-based education. He was previously VP of Innovation and Knowledge at Genstruct, and held various positions at Pearson Education, Cinemetrix, the Microelectronics and Computer Consortium, Red Shark Software, and Lisp Machines.

  Christian has more than 18 years of experience in life sciences research, systems biology, computational biology, and medicine. He was previously VP of Scientific Research at Genstruct and held various positions at Millennium and the European Bioinformatics Institute.

  David has more than 25 years of experience in various health and wellness sectors. He has been recognized as a leader in personalized medicine and diagnostics for his work at Theranos, Gene Express, Pfizer, Pharmacia, and the FDA.

  Lee Gartley, MBA
  Chairman

  Lee has over 20 years of experience working with companies to turn data into information that helps customers make better decisions. Before joining Segterra, Lee was president of Target Software and Target Analytics and a Senior Vice President of Blackbaud. While there, he created the largest participatory database of philanthropic giving in the world. Earlier in his career Lee worked with Art Technology Group to launch an online commerce platform and with Boston Consulting Group to help companies in a variety of industries. Lee holds a BA in Physics from Bowdoin College and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
